Down to Earth

I love shopping locally in Pacifica.  Right near my office at Rockaway Beach is a great little shop called Down to Earth.

Located at 450 Dondee Way #3, Down to Earth is a specialty gift shop that has a lot of cat and dog gifts for the pet lover.  Owner Virginia Kemp has been there for 22 years now, and is so sweet to me whenever I come in.

She even gave me some treats while Mama and I were there!

Virginia used to design toys for Dakin for 30 years.  She was even approached by Beanie Babies to design for them, but she turned them down, preferring to stay with Dakin.

Virginia had a dachshund named Sweet Pea that went to work with her every day for 17 years.  Sadly, Sweet Pea passed away.  She how has a Jack Russell terrier named Cabo, who prefers to stay home.

Shopping at Down to Earth is so fun, since there are so many cute things to look at.  Mama thought it was funny to have the "Grumpy Cat" doll say hi to me.  But I knew it wasn't a real cat.

Look at all these great gifts! 

Mama and I decided to buy a card for a friend of ours who just lost their cat.  I decided to pay this time.
