Pet of the Week

The other day I made a new friend!  His name is Dude, and he is a 10-week old purebred bloodhound.  He had lots of skin!

And he also had humongous feet!  He was a little shy at first, but then started playing.

This week's pet of the week is my buddy Fizzgig!  He stops by my office often to see if I'm available to play.  Mama took a video of us sniffing each other.

Fizzgig lives across the street from my office and come over to say hi all the time.

And this is also a great way to introduce you to my new puppy friend Holden, owned by Marisa Ryan of M. Ryan Media Design.  Marisa named him after William Holden, the "Golden Boy" of Hollywood who starred in movies like "Sunset Blvd." and "Sabrina."  She got him the day before Valentine's Day from Puppy Pound Rescue when he was only 10 months old.  He is a lab mix -- the foster mom she got him from says he's part labrador, weimaraner and shar pei.  Since he was born at the rescue, he has been through many homes, and is now a happy boy learning and training extensively with a very patient owner.  He loves playing tug and chewing on tennis balls, as well as tummy rubs.  Congratulations, Marisa!

Pup of the Week

Our pet of the week is Leo.  He stopped by to visit me the other day at my office.  Leo is a 7-month-old pit bull and was very submissive to me. This was great because usually I'm the submissive one!

Pups of the Week

This week's Pets of the Week are my new friends Vince and Sunny!  I met them while they were taking a stroll around Rockaway Beach and just popped into Resurrected Boutique, a neighboring shop to my office.  

Sunny and Vince are doc hound and poodle mix.  It was nice to meet them and hopefully I'll see them more around Rockaway!

Resurrected is a funky restyle vintage boutique located in the Rockaway shopping area on Dondee Way.  I love to visit Ana, the store owner, to say hi, see all the new items, and receive a doggie treat!  Check out Ana's FB Page at Resurrected Boutique.

Three Pups of the Week!

Freckles, Winston, and Elvis paid a visit to Rockaway Beach Shopping Plaza today where I have my office.  They patiently waited for their mom to finish her purchases.

This is Dumpster, a four-year-old English Bulldog.  He lives in Sharp Park here in Pacifica. Dumpster stopped by the office last Friday afternoon for a Halloween stroll!

Pup of the Week

Scruffy is a rescue dog from Pets in Need located in RWC.  Scruffy was adopted by Cathy Sweetman of Pacifica.  Cathy says she wonders who rescued who!  Scruffy is a terrier and chihuahua mix, and is 4-5 years old.  Scruffy loves to sleep in the sunshine next to the patio door...AAWWW!!

Two Pups of the Week!

Guess who stopped by for a drink of water outside my office today?  These playful black labs Moses and Max!  They enjoyed the doggie treats we gave them and then away they went to finish their afternoon walk!

Pup of the Week

This week's pet of the week is Muffin,  my cousin who lives in Augusta, Georgia with Aunt Martha and Uncle Tom.

She is a 5-year-old shitzu mix.  Her favorite thing to do is play with Punkin, her sister cat.  They will chase each other around the house and tumble about, which is hilarious to watch.  Punkin is a little bit bigger than Muff and definitely weights more, so it's an equal match.  Muffin's favorite food is pretty much anything Mom and Dad are eating.  Muffin's dad calls her a chow hound!  She has this little dance she does while they are eating to get their attention.  Congrats, Muffin!

Pup of the Week

This week's pup of the week is Olive.  She was at the Surf Spot the other night for dinner, as pets are allowed outside on the patio.  The owner doesn't know the age of this French bulldog, and I don't think Olive wants to tell!

Pups of the Week

Meet Oreo (left) and Cece (right), this week's pups of the week!

Dan Baroni is the proud owner of Cece, who is a standard schnauzer and is 10 years old.  Her favorite dog park is the Cipriani Dog Park located in Belmont.  Cece looks beautiful basking in the sun.

Cece's new companion is Oreo.  A recent addition to the family, Oreo is an 8-year-old Havanese and also enjoys the morning sunshine with Cece. 

I'm familiar with Cece and Oreo's owner Dan Baroni, as he is a favorite client of the Lommori-Stahl Group.

I look forward to a doggy play date with both of them soon!

Pup of the Week

Meet Rocky Cruz.  He is owned by Vicki Cruz of Full Moon Healing Center in Pacifica.  Rocky is a 9-lb., full-bred maltese, turning 7 years old in October.  Just like his mom, he's also a healer and feels energy! 

Rocky loves playing chase, tug of war, and roaming free at the north end of Montara Beach!

Rocky Cruz and I are setting a doggie date for the end of this month.  I'm so excited to experience a new dog-friendly trail with Rocky, and I will tell you all about our good times and dog day out!

This week's pup of the week is Ida, a Catahoula leopard dog visiting from Newport Beach.  She was sitting outside my office wagging her tail and I had to go out and say hi!  She is a one-year-old rescue dog.

This week's adorable pet of the week is puppy Hazel.  She is a 6-pound, 11-week-old miniature Australian Labradoodle.  Owner Kathy Gustavson writes:

"Hazel was born on May 15, 2015 and was one of 9 in her litter.  She came from a breeder near Salem, Oregon.  I waited 8 months for her as I wanted a miniature and a red girl.  So, I had to wait for the third litter, to get all three.   But she has been worth the wait.  I wanted this breed as I love teddy bears -- and they actually look a lot like teddy bears, especially in this photo!"

This week's pet of the week is my next door neighbor Lotti Jaquith.  She loves to play hide and seek in her front yard.  I think it's so cute! 

 Although I don't think it's that cute when Loti showers kisses on me!!

This week's Pet of the Week is Sara, and her story was submitted to me by email!  So excited to have a reader submit a pet with their story.

Carol Camacho, a Pacifica resident writes:

Sara is a 12 year old full-bred red & white Border Collie. Owner, Jay Duensing, found Sara through a breeder who lived on a farm. When he went to pick out a puppy, Jay approached the front door, knocked and -- as the door opened-- Sara was the only pup to run out! Eventually Sara is the pup he took home and they have been side by side ever since; two peas in a pod. At 12 years old Sara looks beautiful as ever. Jay feeds her canned salmon mixed with dry food. The salmon helps with the allergies Sara has. But allergies don't stop Sara, she still engages and loves to play (now lower-key) with her frisbee, many, many stuffed animals and her variety of sports balls. She even engages play with her toys by herself! Sara loves living on the coast as she has the enjoyment of the nearby hills or splashing her feet and digging in the sand at the beaches. When she can get to the lake, you can't get her out! But a bath, that's another story.

Hero Pup of the Week

This week's pet of the week is a special hero dog.  Mama went to Macy's and said she saw a dog inside!  Then she explained that it was a service dog, which is allowed in the store.  Amika is a labradoodle.  Her name is Italian, meaning "friend."  She is a beautiful chocolate brown and weighs 85 pounds.

She helps her owner by wearing a service vest and keeping her company while she shops.  Remember when you see a dog with a service vest, you should not approach them, because they are on duty.

Dogs like these are everyday heroes!

Pup of the Week

Mama and I love to go to Surf Spot here in Pacifica because they let me sit with her outside by the firepits while she eats!  I also love it because I can meet all kinds of friends out on the patio, like this little guy, who is the Pet of the Week.  I didn't get his name, but he sure was friendly! 

We smelled each other for a long time, and then I went back to hang out with Mama.  We enjoyed gluten free pizza and salads while listening to live music.  Life is good! 

Surf Spot is located at 4627 Coast Highway in Pacifica, near the bowling alley.  They have live music every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
