Oyster Point Walking Path

Hi there, fellow canines!  It's Jake, your roving reporter and I wanted to tell you about this great walk my Mom and I took the other day.  It's over by Oyster Point in South San Francisco, and there's this really long trail that is all nicely paved.

The trail starts next to the Genentech biotechnology campus and runs from Point San Bruno Park, through Oyster Point Park and Marina, and goes to Oyster Point. The views of the boats docked are really amazing and there are some nice grassy places and shrubbery to sniff around in.  Besides the marina, there is a yacht club, and fishing pier around the 33-acre park, but we didn't walk the whole way since I get tired easily.

The best part of the trail is that it's all flat, which is perfect for an ol' timer like me with hip problems.  I guess if you were in better shape it'd be a great place to run.  Well I wanted to jump in the water and swim -- there's a 2.5 acre sandy swimming beach -- but there was a sign that said the water is not very good right now.  There are also signs that show dogs must stay on leashes, so Mom kept me on-leash.  But it was still a fun walk and made Mom really relaxed!

She even found a place where there is a large open field and threw the ball to me a couple times!
It was the best day ever!
